The Population & Public Health Epidemiology course is mandatory for Masters of Public Health students in the Department of Health Research Methods, Evidence and Impact at McMaster University and open to other graduate students upon approval from the instructor. This course provides an introduction to epidemiologic concepts and an understanding of the major issues in communicable disease and non-communicable disease epidemiology as well as measures of determinants of health and health equity. Students learn to perform computations commonly used in epidemiology.
