Ainsley is a Master of Public Health student at McMaster and is doing her thesis with PERL. Her thesis work will describe the differential trends in peripartum hysterectomy among Black versus White individuals in Canada, examining how severe obstetric hemorrhage and uterine fibroids might fit into this picture. Before starting her MPH, Ainsley completed the Bachelor of Health Sciences (Honours) program at Carleton University, concentrating in Global Health. During her undergrad, Ainsley worked as a research assistant for the Health and Wellness Equity Research Group at Carleton, where she engaged in community-based participatory research with self-identified women and children.
